One of TV's favorite lawmen, Raylan Givens of FX's series Justified, may be making his return. Another novel by Elmore Leonard is being adapted to series, with a possibility of Raylan's actor Timothy Olyphant reprising the role.

Based on Leonard's novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit, the new series being developed at FX will reunite the team from Justified, according to Variety. Graham Yost will serve as executive producer, with co-showrunners Michael Dinner and Dave Andron, who will also write and executive produce. Other executive producers returning from Justified include Chris Provenzano, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, VJ Boyd and Taylor Elmore.

Walter Mosely and Ingrid Escajeda will also return as consulting producers, and Eisa Davis will produce.

The Elmore Leonard Estate is represented in the production team by Peter Leonard, who will be another executive producer. Elmore Leonard's works were the primary inspiration for Justified, which followed the novels' recurring character Raylan Givens over six seasons, premiering in 2010 and ending in 2015. The character was a Deputy U.S. Marshal, establishing a pattern of Olyphant playing law enforcement. Olyphant was nominated for a Emmy in 2011 for best actor in a drama series.

Currently, the new series is in its earliest stages and casting has not been announced, so Olyphant's involvement is unconfirmed. The novel that will serve as its template follows a different lawman character, Raymond Cruz.
