In recent weeks, the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign has gained a lot of traction. Celebrities and fans alike have taken to social media to announce their support for the release of Zack Snyder's original Justice League film and now, Ray Fisher has added his name to the list.

Fisher, who played Cyborg in the film, took to Twitter to show his support. He posted a photo with the caption, "When you overhear your dean refer to your mom as “Mrs.“ instead of “Dr.” and you know he’s about to get DESTROYED!"

In the post, he gave a shoutout to actress Karen Bryson, who played his mother Dr. Elinore Stone. The hashtags #educatedcharactersofcolor, #BORGLIFE, and #RELEASETHESNYDERCUT were used.

The picture Fisher posted features as a pre-Cyborg Victor Stone. Stone happily sits outside his college dean's office. Fisher had previously alluded to a scene where Stone's mother has a heated discussion with the dean, leading many to believe the photo was in reference to that moment.

Fisher was set to star in a Cyborg solo film, but the plans were put on hold after Justice League's mixed reception and disappointing box office return caused the DC Extended Universe to change direction.

The DCEU's next film will be Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The film stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. Directed by Cathy Yan, the film is scheduled for release on Feb. 7, 2020.
