Editor's Note: Previous reports indicated that Henry Cavill would be returning to shoot additional scenes of Zack Snyder's Justice League. However, Cavill clarified that he will not be involved in the reshoots and that all his scenes were completed during the film's initial filming in 2016 and 2017. Zack Snyder's Justice League will begin production next month, with a number of cast members returning for the updated film.

The director will return to the helm of DC's superhero team-up film in October, according to The Hollywood Reporter. New scenes will be shot for the long-awaited Snyder Cut of Justice League, which will be released on HBO Max in four installments sometime next year.

The shoot will last around a week, and a number of actors will step back into their roles from the original film, including Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. They'll be joined by Ray Fisher, despite the actor's ongoing battle with WarnerMedia regarding an alleged abusive work environment under Joss Whedon and the producers of the original film.

This past summer, Fisher alleged that Justice League director Joss Whedon created a toxic and abusive filming environment and demanded an investigation. He also claimed that former Warner Bros. producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg helped enable Whedon's behavior. Fisher and WarnerMedia have sparred on social media and in press releases, with the latter claiming the actor wasn't cooperating with their investigation. Fisher, meanwhile, has said this is untrue and has accused WarnerMedia of trying to bury his claims with several suspiciously timed announcements. Currently, Fisher is seeking an independent investigation. It appears, however, that this won't prevent him from returning to shoot, possibly due to Whedon, Johns and Berg no longer being involved with the film.
