WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Zack Snyder's Justice League, now streaming on HBO Max.

After over three years since it's original release, Zack Snyder's Justice League has finally arrived to HBO Max. The new cut revealed a heap of DC Comics characters that were cut from the theatrical version that debuted in 2017. Not only did Darkseid and his acolytes Desaad and Granny Goodness make appearances, but so did Iris West, Ryan Choi and Martian Manhunter, just to name a few. In addition to these fan-favorite additions, it has also recently been confirmed that the man himself – Zack Snyder – made a brief cameo early on in the film's four hour runtime, though it is truly one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments.

The cameo occurs near the 16 minute mark, where Lois Lane's daily trips to mourn Superman at Heroes Park is established. As she exits the coffee shop she frequents, one can briefly see the titular director sitting at the window, wearing a dark vest over a white shirt. Insider confirmed the cameo and revealed via Snyder's publicist that the director would often visit that particular coffee shop whilst planning and storyboarding the film. It even appears as though Snyder is doing just that in the cameo.

This is not the first time Snyder has made a cameo in his own film. His other uncredited roles include "Commando at White House" in Dawn of the Dead, "Commando in Vietnam" in Watchmen and "U.S. Soldier" in Wonder Womanwhich he was a producer on. He also had a voice cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, dubbing the soldier who betrays Batman during the "Knightmare" sequence. This latest bit part might just be the first time he has not played some sort of soldier on-screen, instead looking as though he is playing himself.

Zack Snyder's Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ray Porter as Darkseid, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film arrives on HBO Max March 18.
