Wonder Woman is one of the greatest heroes in the DC Universe and a linchpin of the Justice League. As the greatest champion of the Amazons of Themyscira, Wonder Woman has been saving the day from all manner of villains and monsters for years and is an inspiration to the heroes of the world. Much like Superman, she's one of the most important and respected heroes of them all.

She's helped the Justice League battle some of the most dangerous villains of them all and there are many who say the team can't function with her. However, she may not be as integral to the team as some believe.

10 Integral To The Team: She Can Work With Everyone

Superman Batman Wonder Woman Justice League

One of the most important things about Wonder Woman is that she can work with just about anyone. While she can be pretty intimidating, she's actually one of the most accepting heroes of them all. She can work well with even the most difficult heroes, like Batman or John Constantine, and still get along while completing the mission.

Being able to work with others is very important to a team and Wonder Woman is an expert at it. While she can seem imperious, she's not like that at all and there are few heroes out there who she can't work with.

9 Isn't Integral To The Team: Her Powers Aren't The Best, Especially When Compared To Other Members

Sensational Wonder Woman

While Wonder Woman is fast, strong, and tough, those are powers that the Justice League pretty much has covered already. While they've helped her in her battles against many of her foes, there are members of the Justice League who can do everything she can with her powers but better.

She's not as strong or as durable as Superman, can't run as fast as the Flash, and can't fly as far as Green Lantern. Her only long-range attack comes from her Lasso of Truth, which is great but is still just a rope at the end of the day. She doesn't bring much to the table that's unique.

8 Is Integral To The Team: She's One of The Best Fighters In The DC Universe

Wonder Woman trained from a very young age with a variety of weapons and is one of the most skilled fighters in the DC Universe. The Amazons of Themyscira have been perfecting their fighting skills for centuries and Wonder Woman is the pinnacle of that. Not only is she a great fighter but a great trainer as well and often gives her teammates pointers so they can sharpen their skills.

While her powers are duplicated by others, her fighting skill sets her apart and has allowed her to hang with some of the most dangerous and powerful foes of them all. Wonder Woman can outfight just about anyone she comes up against and that's a valuable asset in the League's line of work.

7 Isn't Integral To The Team: She Can Sometimes Be A Disruptive Element

Wonder Woman is royalty and while she's not stuck up, she does often think her way is the best way. She's not always wrong about this- she's a fantastic leader and knows how to deal with all kinds of situations and personalities. However, there have been times when the way she does things have caused conflict in the Justice League.

The biggest example of this was in the days leading up to Infinite Crisis. The League was generally in a bad place already and instead of being a calming influence like she had been in the past, she was just as hard-headed as the rest of them. This wouldn't be the first or last time she'd cause conflict in the League and it's not a good thing.

6 Is Integral To The Team: She Has Experience With All Kinds Of Situations

Wonder Woman has been around the block. She's faced down just about every threat a superhero can, battling powerful supervillains, mythological monsters, and gods while also navigating the political tides of Man's World as the Themysciran ambassador. All of this experience gives her a unique perspective and place on the team.

This was mostly borne out by her time as leader of the Justice League Dark. She helped this very different Justice League team save the magical side of the DC Universe, using all of her experience and skill in new ways.

5 Not Integral To The Team: Her Differing Morality Can Cause Problems

Wonder Woman kills Maxwell Lord

Wonder Woman was raised as a soldier and a leader and that means having to make some tough decisions, including having to kill. While it's not a decision that Wonder Woman makes lightly, she doesn't have any problem killing an enemy when it's warranted, which is something that has put her at odds with her teammates.

The rest of the League is very much anti-killing and Wonder Woman's stance on this issue has caused problems with the team. It's often been enough for her to leave the group and conflicts that can go that far aren't the best for the group.

4 Integral To The Team: She Had A Role In The Team's Creation

The Justice League has had many different origins over the years but in nearly all of them, Wonder Woman has played a very important role. She's one of the team's founding members and has been around for some of their most harrowing adventures. As such, she's easily one of the most important members of the team.

While there's nothing that says a founding member should always be a member of the team, it gives the group continuity and experiences that are helpful in the long run. Wonder Woman has proven herself many times over.

3 Isn't Integral To The League: Her Foes Can Make Things A Lot Worse For The Team

Circe

The Justice League already faces down some of the greatest threats to the Multiverse and doesn't really need any new ones stepping up. This can be a problem because oftentimes, Wonder Woman's villains get involved and that's always bad news. Wonder Woman has some powerful foes and the League doesn't need to deal with them on top of everything else.

One of the biggest examples of this was when she was with the Justice League Dark and her old foe Circe came along. Circe gathered the team's members' greatest foes and almost destroyed the group, making their battles against the Upside-Down Man and the Otherkind that much harder.

2 Integral To The Team: She's One Of The Most Important Heroes On The Planet

DC Big Three Cropped

If the Justice League exists to bring together the most powerful and important heroes on Earth, then they need Wonder Woman. Simply put, there are few heroes out there more important than her; the only two that compare are Superman and Batman and even then, the argument could be made that only Superman is more important than her.

Wonder Woman is a member of DC's Big Three and easily one of the top heroes on the planet. This alone makes her integral to the Justice League. Many other heroes look to her for inspiration and guidance and the Justice League needs that.

1 Isn't Integral To The Team: They've Gotten By Without Her

Justice League Identity Crisis full cast together

As important, powerful, and skilled as Wonder Woman is, the Justice League has been able to survive without her when she's not around. This is probably the biggest argument against her being integral to the team. Sure, the Justice League has done without a lot of its members but when it comes right down to it, Wonder Woman's skills and abilities don't stand enough to hinder the team without her.

She's a great hero and one of the most important around but they don't have a pressing need for her. They can and have gotten along fine without her.
