Zack Snyder candidly revealed the reason why he never saw the theatrical cut of 2017's Justice League.

"People who I trust and who have seen the theatrical cut and the true cut have told me never to watch it," Snyder told a fan on Veron when asked why he hasn't seen the film.

Snyder, who helmed the previous DC superhero films Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was the original director behind Justice League. However, after leaving the production due to a family tragedy, Joss Whedon took over to finish the film, which underwent extensive reshoots.

Snyder's statement further fuels the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement. The director has continued to tease his original cut of the film, which some stars like Jason Momoa have claimed to have seen. Photos have even surfaced from the cut, including a new suit for Superman and a backstory for Cyborg.

Though Warner Bros. has not confirmed the Snyder Cut exists, it hasn't stopped fans from rampantly insisting it be released. Most recently, a banner flew over the studio lot with a message to CEO Ann Sarnoff to "#ReleaseTheSnyderCut." Snyder responded to the picture of the banner on Vero, saying, "I'm watching this is awesome!!!!"
