Despite some tensions between their mentors, the Teen Titans and Justice League have been fairly close over the years. Though the teams don’t typically work together too often, the two groups definitely have a mutual respect.

However, sometimes tensions get too high, or something will happen in which the two teams go head to head. This face off has actually been explored a few times in the comics with a slightly different outcome each time. To add our own thoughts into the mix, here is our list on The Justice League vs The Teen Titans, and who would win in a fight between them.

11 Brain: Justice League

New 52 Justice League

While this victory may seem a bit obvious, the Teen Titans are actually far smarter than one may think. Especially if characters like Tim Drake and Cyborg are on the team, the Teen Titans are actually one of the more intelligent superteams within the DC universe.

Unfortunately, big names like Batman, Mr. Terrific, and Blue Beetle tend to bring the League’s overall intelligence up, making the team’s brainpower incredibly difficult to match. Though the Titans are far from stupid, the Justice League wins due to their more consistent brainy characters.

10 Brawn: Justice League

As the biggest superteam in the DC universe, it makes sense for the Justice League to pack a bigger punch than the younger heroes. Granted, some of the Teen titans actually have the potential to surpass their mentors, but their lack of experience generally stops them from doing so.

Especially with characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern, the League is incredibly difficult to put down. Though the Titans have held their own fairly well against their mentors from time to time, they have yet to actually exceed them in terms of raw power.

9 Experience: Justice League

Even aside from their age, the Justice League has been a team for much longer than the Teen Titans ever have. Even though the League is only a few years older than their younger group of heroes, the Titans went several years without a series, putting a big hindrance on the team’s overall experience.

Furthermore, the Justice League has also taken on far deadlier threats than the Titans, taking them on all sorts of whacky and insane adventures. Though the Titans have been in many similar situations, they never quite seem to measure up to the same scale as the League, making the Justice League the winner in this regard.

8 Technology: Tie

Over the years, both teams have done a lot in terms of creating and advancing the technology within the DC universe. At times, they have even borrowed some of each other’s equipment in order to do a more effective job of crime fighting.

With so many similarities between their technology as well, it doesn’t seem right to claim that one team has a clear advantage over another. Cyborg alone is so advanced that he alone could be the determining factor for this category. With no clear winner, this round results in the first tie between the two groups.

7 Base: Teen Titans

Teen Titans Tower DC

While the Watchtower and Hall of Justice may be more advanced than Titans Tower, the Teen titans actually have an advantage in being much more communal than the Justice League. Within the tower especially, the teens are free to be themselves and are generally amongst close friends when they aren’t off saving people.

Though the Justice League can still house its members in either base, the team generally doesn’t have the same strong bonds that the Titans do with each other. Even with the incredible equipment in either of the League’s facilities, nothing quite compares to kicking back and hanging out with your teammates after a long day of saving the world.

6 Team Relations: Teen Titans

Thanks to the unique nature of their team, the Teen Titans aren’t just a group of superpowered youngsters who happen to try to save the world, but a group of friends first and foremost. The team takes the time to build relations and get to know each other, rather than constantly analyzing how to take one another down just in case.

While they’ve certainly had their differences with each other over the years. The whole point of the team is to prepare the younger heroes for a better and brighter future with the hopes that they will continue to do the same.

5 Growth: Teen Titans

Unlike many of their Justice League mentors, many of the Teen Titans have gone through far more changes than the older heroes. Every member of the original Teen Titans graduated from a sidekick to their own independent hero, complete with a costume and name change.

Furthermore, many other younger heroes have followed suit, actually showing just how dynamic some of these characters can be at times. While they may not be the world’s best heroes yet, many of them have shown quite a lot of promise as they’ve grown over the years.

4 Size: Tie

Strictly speaking, the Justice League has seen far more characters on the team in terms of numbers, which would give them a huge advantage. However, like the Justice League, the Teen Titans have also had a great number of young heroes come and go through the years, and at times have had a larger lineup than the League themselves.

Should either team need to call on past members, both rosters would prove to be quite expansive. Furthermore, while the League may have a slight advantage in terms of numbers, many Teen Titans have also served as members of the League from time to time, showing just how connected the two teams can be at times.

3 Range of Abilities: Tie

New Teen Titans: Judast Contract

Generally speaking, the Justice League’s roster remains fairly consistent, composed of the likes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, a Green Lantern, a Speedster, and a wild card or two here and there. While it has been a bit more consistent in recent years, the Teen Titans have generally had a much more inconsistent lineup, especially after Marv Wolfman left the series.

While there are of course some exceptions, there’s no denying that people with all sorts of abilities have come to hold a place on both teams. Though a Justice Leaguer may have an ability that has never been seen on the Teen Titans before, the same can be said of the reverse.

2 Biggest Feat: Justice League

No matter how far the Teen Titans have come, the Justice League will always be the top line of defense within the DC universe. Over the years, the League has taken on countless numbers of threats and been victorious almost every time. From Darkseid, to Brainiac, to the Anti-Monitor, some of the biggest bads imaginable have been taken down thanks to the efforts of the Justice League.

Of course, the Titans still have their share of impressive feats, and have also saved the world on more than one occasion, but they have yet to pull off something as big in scale as the Justice League, giving the older heroes yet another win.

1 Winner: Justice League

However far the Teen Titans may have come over the years, they still aren’t quite up to the same level as the Justice League. Perhaps, with a bit more time, they will be given the opportunity to really show what they are capable of.

For now, however, the Justice League reigns supreme. Likewise, while the titans and the League have faced off before, there are typically other circumstances manipulating the fight so that it isn’t entirely fair. As of now though, there is a reason the Justice League is the biggest team of superheroes in the entire DC universe.
