2021 will mark the 20-year anniversary of the fan-favorite Warner Bros. Animation series, Justice League: The Animated Series. The show united Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, John Stewart's Green Lantern, the Flash, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter for all sorts of adventures across the DC Universe.Now, with the milestone just around the corner, Susan Eisenberg, who voiced Wonder Woman in the animated series, has called for an official Justice League reunion.RELATED: DC Universe's Stargirl Delayed, Announces New Premiere DateTo start things off, Eisenberg only tweeted a GIF of the opening sequence of the animated series, featuring the outlines of all seven members of the Justice League, with the caption "2 0 2 1." This got fans talking and speculating that an official announcement could be coming. However, Eisenberg clarified things in a follow-up tweet. "Okay, let’s stay calm," she wrote. "I posted this because 1. I think we need heroes now, and 2. 2021 will be our 20th anniversary, which I believe would be the perfect time for a #JLReunion!"

Then, in another tweet, she added her intentions behind the original post: "I’m putting it out to the universe... and @WBHomeEnt," tagging Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's official Twitter account to ensure that the appropriate powers-that-be were aware of her suggestion.

Justice League: The Animated Series was created by Bruce Timm and featured a voice cast which included Kevin Conroy, George Newbern, Susan Eisenberg, Phil LaMarr, Michael Rosenbaum, Carl Lumbly and Maria Canals-Barrera. The series ran for two seasons and 52 episodes, before being followed by Justice League Unlimited, which ran for three seasons and a total of 39 episodes.
