The Justice League Unlimited cast recently reunited to celebrate their late co-star and legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy.

Michael Rosenbaum, who played The Flash in the animated series, shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram. Aside from Rosenbaum, cast members present included Phil LaMarr (Green Lantern), Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman), Carl Lumbly (Martian Manhunter) and Maria Canals-Barrera (Hawkgirl). Justice League Unlimited voice director Andrea Romano was also on-hand, as was Will Friedle, who starred opposite Conroy on Batman Beyond and appeared in several episodes of Justice League Unlimited. "The Justice League was back together tonight," Rosenbaum wrote, in the accompanying caption. "We are really missing our wonderful leader Kevin Conroy so we got together tonight to celebrate him."

Conroy died at the age of 66 in November 2022. An accomplished stage and screen actor, he was best known for providing Batman's vocals across 60 different projects, beginning with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. All told, Conroy voiced Batman in almost 400 episodes of that show and its follow-up series also set in the DC Animated Universe. Conroy also portrayed Batman in several direct-to-DVD films and multiple video games, including the popular Batman: Arkham franchise. He played the iconic superhero in live-action too, appearing as an older incarnation of Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse's 2019 crossover event "Crisis on Infinite Earths."

Pros and Fans Alike Pay Tribute to Kevin Conroy

The news of Conroy's passing prompted a wave of tributes to the late actor from his former colleagues, comic book professionals and fans. Notably, his Batman: The Animated Series co-star Mark Hamill described Conroy as both "the definitive Batman" and an "ideal partner" in a lengthy and heartfelt statement. "It was one of those perfect scenarios where they got the exact right guy for the exact right part, and the world was better for it," Hamill said. Tara Strong, who also acted opposite Conroy in numerous Batman-related projects, also commemorated the deceased star. "It makes me sick to think I'll never hug him, feel his warm smile or hear his voice alive again, but thanks to his brilliance, his voice lives on forever," Strong tweeted.

Conroy's final performance as Batman is in the upcoming video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, in which he'll feature posthumously alongside Strong. Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment recently released a trailer for the game at The Game Awards. It included several of Conroy's lines of dialogue and closed with a brief tribute to the star.
