During production on 2017's Justice League, original director Zack Snyder stepped away from the project following a family tragedy. In his place, Avengers director Joss Whedon took the reins of the project and reportedly began significantly reshooting parts of the film. As a result, many of those dissatisfied with the theatrical release of Justice League -- which was received poorly both at the box office and by critics -- called for the release of a version of the film closer to Snyder's original vision. That project is now set to come to HBO Max next year.

In this video, we're going to break down some of the differences between the theatrical and Snyder Cut releases of Justice League. While we don't know everything about Snyder's version of the film, he's given a lot of indication about just what viewers should expect when the retooled movie hits HBO Max next year.
