Justice League, Teen Titans, Constantine, Spawn 2, more: Comic Reel Wrap for November 28th

Guest stars aplenty, according to Comics Continuum. Look for Red Tornado, Black Canary, Green Arrow (any other primary colors they missed?), and possibly an episode guest starring The Atom written by the world's most vocal opponent of super heroes, Warren Ellis. The link also has a schedule of upcoming episodes.

The same page at Comics Continuum lists information on the new season, starting January 10. Terra, "a powerful young girl with the ability to move mountains," will join the team, and guest stars will include Speedy, Aqualad, Wildebeest and Warp, with return visits from Gizmo, Plasmus, Cinderblock, Overload and of course Slade.

Sci Fi Wire has more from Keanu about his role as John Constantine. Reeves wasn't too keen on a lot of reading, saying, "In terms of referencing the graphic novels, I've sourced them a little bit. I looked more at the shapes of the drawings and character and kind of just connected to his primal point of view." Always there for the payday, Reeves also said, "Certainly through the experience right now, I'm really enjoying the character, and hopefully we'll make a good film that's really going to dictate whether or not we continue telling stories about him, if people respond to the story." Get your sequel on! In other news, Djimon Hounsou told E! Television on Thursday that he's pretty much done with his role as another magician who helps Constantine through a rough period.

Ain't It Cool News has a line from Michael Jai White, who appeared at the Super Boston Megafest. White said that, "he's going to be doing the sequel next year and that they've finally got a script they are all happy with. Its going to be a very dark, Batman-like sequel, one that will please comic fans. Martin Sheen isn't in it this time, but the villain might be a guy called Brimstone, and Sly Stallone was the man for the job last he heard."

In between freezing their beer caps off, those fine folk at Hollywood North Report have more pictures from the "Catwoman" set, and a spoilerish report of the vagueries of casting. If the very attractive stand in would like an in depth interview with the Comic Reel, possibly over dinner and maybe drinks afterwards, we'd love to oblige.

Sony has posted the new banners you'll see in theatres, but only in Flash format. Luckily, our friends at Superherohype thought to separate the "good guys" from the "bad guys" for us.

Ain't It Cool News has spies everywhere -- even at the gas station. A chance encounter with Ben Savage ("Boy Meets World") revealed that the actor has had two callbacks at Warner Brothers for the role of Jimmy Olsen.

We hope you're having a good weekend (so far so good here at the Comic Reel), and we'll be back Monday with more of the stuff you love. If you have the scoop on anything related to comic book movies, TV adaptations or just want to give us a truck full of cash, no questions asked, drop us a line and let's coordinate. You can choose an alias if you'd like, or be mentioned by name -- we honor requests for anonymity. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and (insert pithy sign-off here, once it gets out of development hell).
