Recently, a new photo from the set of Justice League has surfaced. The production image, which clearly shows Ryan Choi/The Atom and Silas Stone in the facility known as S.T.A.R. Labs, was shared by director Zack Snyder and posted on Imgur.

Silas Stone, who is Cyborg/Victor Stone's father, was shown as the lead scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs, which served as an important location in Justice League. While Joe Morton's Silas Stone appears in the film's final cut, Ryan Choi does not.

Before Zack Snyder's departure from the film, Ryan Zheng was meant to make an appearance in Justice League as Ryan Choi/The Atom. Snyder previously shared another image of Choi with the caption, "Ryan Choi, 'Director of nanotechnology Star labs'." It's unclear how large a role Choi was going to play in Justice League, though it's believed he would have simply had a cameo appearance.

First appearing in 1971's Superman Vol. 1 #246, the Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories, also known as S.T.A.R. Labs, have appeared in many several different DC Comics series. The facility has also been mentioned in several DC films and TV shows, including Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of SupermanSmallvilleThe Flash and Doom Patrol.

Zack Snyder left Justice League in the midst of production due to a death in his family. Joss Whedon then took over his role as the film's director.
