The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement has yet another supporter.Storyboard artist Jay Oliva took to Twitter to voice support for the release of Zack Snyder's original version of Justice League in his own way -- with an image of Superman fighting Steppenwolf. The artwork depicts the Man of Steel punching the New God while also blasting him with his heat vision. It is accompanied by the simple hashtag, "#ReleaseTheSnyderCut."

Oliva served as a storyboard artist for 2017's Justice League, and has addressed the existence of a Snyder cut of the film before. In June 2018, Oliva responded to a tweet that argued against the existence of a cut by the film's original director, simply stating, "It exists."

A month later, he clarified his statement while speaking with Revenge of the Fans. "Well, I wouldn't discount Zack having a trailer ready. He's really good at cutting trailers, but I don't think he's been working on Justice League since I'm sure he has a cut he's happy with that he screened to execs way back in the editing of Justice League prior to Whedon," he said.

This time, Oliva showed his solidarity with the movement with the #ReleasetheSnyderCut hashtag, and shared a storyboard image from Snyder's cut depicting Henry Cavill's Superman battling Ciaran Hinds' Steppenwolf during the movie's climax.

The movement for the release of the Snyder cut has recently garnered attention again, with Jason Momoa claiming to have seen the cut and posting an image from the film of Aquaman fighting Steppenwolf. Cyborg actor Ray Fisher and Darkseid actor Ray Porter have also both shown their support, and composer Junkie XL has stated that the movie's score is complete.

Warner Bros. has remained quiet on the subject of a Snyder cut, though fans of Snyder's work have campaigned for its release since the theatrical cut's release, and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the wake of this newfound support.

The DCEU's next release is Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
