How would Worlds of DC's newly-formed Justice League react to Thanos' dreaded finger snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War? Would they be shocked? Would despair overcome them? Maybe they would be smugly entertained to watch all those box office juggernauts crumble into dust? Think the latter, as one comic book fan has edited the ending of Infinity War into one of the last scenes of Justice League. Let's just say that DC's Holy Trinity won't be shedding a tear for a disintegrating Spider-Man any time soon.
As the Avengers begin to fade away, the Justice League just watches, seemingly taking in the sight with a sense of satisfaction. One of the included scenes follows Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch as she mourns Vision's lifeless body. Unphased, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman beams as Wanda turns to dust. Next up is Tom Holland's Peter Parker, begging his surrogate father, Tony Stark, to save him. The League remains all smiles through the scene that emotionally destroyed audiences earlier this year.
Henry Cavill's Superman ends the film, satisfied and mildly impressed, remarking, "I'm glad I didn't miss this." Diana smirks and replies, "So am I." Batman gruffly agrees, before ending the clip hilariously cursing out Infinity War.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin. The film arrives Aug. 14 on DVD and Blu-ray.
