Justice League star Ray Fisher says WarnerMedia is investigating the Cyborg actor's recent claims that director Joss Whedon, as well as former DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and former DC Films executive Jon Berg, created a hostile work environment during the film's extensive reshoots.

"After 5 weeks of interviews with various cast/crew, [WarnerMedia] has officially launched an independent third-party investigation to get to the heart of the toxic and abusive work environment created during Justice League reshoots," Fisher tweeted. "I believe this investigation will show that Geoff Johns, Joss Whedon, Jon Berg (and others) grossly abused their power during the uncertainty of AT&T’s merger with Time Warner."

While many members of the cast and crew involved in Justice League have been vocal supporters of Zack Snyder's Justice League, aka the Snyder Cut, Fisher is the most vocal when it comes to speaking out against Warner Bros. and DC Films. In June, Fisher retracted the praise he gave Joss Whedon -- the man who replaced director Zack Snyder on Justice League -- and days later, he tweeted that "[Whedon's] on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable." In that same tweet, he called out Johns and Berg, whom he dubbed Whedon's enablers. He then doubled down on this sentiment in late July, writing, "I understand full well the [personal] and professional risks associated with my speaking out against the abhorrent behavior of Joss Whedon and his enablers — Geoff Johns and Jon Berg."

Fisher's most recent comments on the matter came earlier this month when he claimed Johns "made a thinly veiled threat" to his career due to his "attempts to take grievances up the proper chain of command."

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
