Actor Ray Fisher offered his thoughts on Joss Whedon's response to abuse allegations from their time on the set of Justice League. This follows a recent interview with Whedon in which the writer/director addressed his career and the perception of his behavior that has surfaced in recent years. As part of the conversation, Whedon denied multiple accusations made by Fisher, who played Victor Stone/Cyborg in 2017's Justice League. Though Fisher initially chose to delay his response in favor of celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., he has now emerged with his thoughts, which mock Whedon's statements. For example, Fisher claims Whedon took "nearly two years to get his story straight" and spent thousands of dollars on PR, crisis management and coaching, only to say "they all misunderstood."RELATED: Joss Whedon Calls Justice League One of the Biggest Regrets of His Life

In 2020, Fisher accused Whedon of multiple forms of misconduct that supposedly occurred during Justice League's production, explaining that Whedon's treatment of the film's cast and crew was "gross, abusive, unprofessional and completely unacceptable." Additionally, the Cyborg actor said the decision to cut many of his character's scenes was racially motivated while suggesting that Whedon lightened the complexion of Justice League's actors or color in post-production. Whedon has since addressed these claims, saying that he brightened the entire film and that he reduced Fisher's role because it "logically made no sense" and because of poor acting.

Fisher has also come out against Justice League producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, who he claims enabled Whedon's behavior. WarnerMedia responded to Fisher's accusations by conducting an internal investigation into the matter, resulting in a private conclusion and remedial action against the guilty parties. However, Fisher protested the decision to keep the results from the public and said that because of how WarnerMedia conducted its investigation, Fisher would no longer work on any project that involved DC Films President Walter Hamada.

Fisher wasn't the only one who took issue with Whedon's behavior on Justice League's set. Gal Gadot reportedly clashed with Whedon multiple times over disagreements on Wonder Woman's portrayal in the film. Gadot later alleged that Whedon would brag about their arguments with her on set and threatened her career during Justice League's production. Whedon denied these accusations, saying that Gadot didn't understand he was joking because English is her second language. "I understood perfectly," Gadot rebutted.

Beyond Fisher and Gadot, other members of Justice League's cast have expressed their general contempt for Whedon's vision of the film. Actor Jeremy Irons, who portrayed Alfred Pennyworth in the film, recently admitted that he hated Whedon's Justice League, agreeing that the film was "dreadful." Batman actor Ben Affleck echoed this sentiment, calling the film's production "the worst experience."
