Actor Julian Lewis Jones has confirmed he is playing an Atlantean in the upcoming Justice League film, not Green Lantern Abin Sur as a number of fans and websites had theorized.

Jones, in reposting a cropped version of the image focusing on his character, confirms that he will portray an Atlantean in the ensemble film, not a ring-wielding alien. When this behind-the-scenes photo was originally shared online, CBR theorized that this character could be be King Atlan, an Atlantean ruler from long ago. The actor did not confirm this detail, though he's obviously someone of great importance in Atlantis' history.

The full image shows a mixture of Amazons, Atlanteans and humans, presumably from Justice League's prologue which reportedly sees these races unite to stop the New Gods from recovering Mother Boxes when they arrive on Earth. Said Mother Boxes will play a big part in the film, with League member Cyborg actually owing his powers (and life) to one of the devices.
