Writer Joshua Williamson (The FlashBatman/Superman) and artist Xermanico (Wonder WomanGreen Lantern: Blackstars) are the new creative team for Justice League's five-part crossover for DC's Dark Nights: Death Metal.

DC revealed the announcement in the release of its September 2020 solicitations. The first part of the tie-in finds Nightwing and Lex Luthor forming a new Justice League to free the Legion of Doom from Perpetua's clutches. The crossover also promises to directly impact the finale to Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Dark Nights: Death Metal.

Justice League has used a rotating creative team since Snyder's run on the series ended in January. The conclusion of his run set up the events for his collaboration with artist Greg Capullo on Death Metal. The cover and solicitation to September's Justice League #53 can be found below.
