Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Harry Lennix has confirmed that he shot scenes for Zack Snyder's Justice League that will reveal his character General Calvin Swanwick is secretly the DC hero Martian Manhunter.

"It's going to be great to be up there with Batman and Superman and my pals," Lennix told Collider. "Yeah, I'm once again like a kid at a candy store."

Snyder confirmed on the social media platform Vero in October 2019 that the theatrical release of 2017's Justice League would have included Martian Manhunter, along with the surprise reveal that he was secretly General Swanwick. The director's reveal also included a storyboard of Martian Manhunter.

Later, Lennix said in April 2020 that he'd love to portray Martian Manhunter if the Snyder Cut was ever made. Of course, HBO Max confirmed that the director's cut of Justice League would debut on the platform sometime in 2021. Zack Snyder is also reportedly pushing Warner Bros. to release his four-hour director's cut of Justice League on the big screen as well as on HBO Max this year.

"I'm a huge fan and a big supporter of the cinematic experience, and we're already talking about Justice League playing theatrically at the same time it's coming to HBO Max," Snyder said. "So weirdly, it's the reverse [of the trend]."

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Zack Snyder's Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The four-part miniseries premieres on HBO Max in March.
