Justice League actor Harry Lennix doesn't know what his version of Martian Manhunter looks like in Zack Snyder's cut of the film.

"[It's CGI motion-capture]. I don't know what I'm going to look like," Lennix told ComicBook.com. "I don't know what the body is going to look like and all that, but I'm thrilled to see it. That guy's probably in good shape, for example. Honestly, I don't know if it's reverse engineering, but I had the mo-cap [suit] on myself, and I did the thing."

Lennix played U.S. Army Lieutenant General Calvin Swanwick in 2013's Man of Steel and went on to reprise the role in 2016's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The scenes Lennix shot for Snyder's cut of Justice League will reveal General Swanwick was really the DC Extended Universe's (DCEU) Martian Manhunter in disguise this whole time.

In November 2020, Snyder revealed a small image of Martian Manhunter's design in Justice League. Although it was hard to make out much in the way of smaller details, the character looked more or less likely he traditionally does in the DC Comics Universe, complete with a dark hooded costume and red "X" across his chest. More recently, Snyder shared one of Martian Manhunter's quotes from Justice League: "There's a war coming."

In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

Zack Snyder's Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film will premiere exclusively on HBO Max on Thursday, March 18.
