When it comes to incarnations of the Justice League, there are only two great ones- the "Big Seven" League that incorporates Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Flash,  and Martian Manhunter along with others and the Justice League International. The JLI was the post-Crisis version of the League and it focused a lot on the comedic aspects of superheroing, as well as the big action and adventure the League was known for.

The team would have a very diverse roster of members, with heavy hitters like Martian Manhunter, Power Girl, and Shazam (or as he was known at the time- Captain Marvel) along with less powerful members like Fire, Ice, Elongated Man, and others. This list is going to take a look at the strongest members of the JLI... and the weakest.

10 Weakest: Batman

It's weird to think of Batman among the weakest members of a team because of how formidable a combatant he is but when it comes right down to it, Batman's greatest strength isn't his muscles- it's his brain. On a team that includes Kryptonians, Apokoliptan warrior women, and more, Batman is among the weakest members of the team.

That said, he's the strongest of the weakest members of the team. That has to count for something, doesn't it?

9 Strongest: Big Barda

Once the leader of the Female Furies of Apokolips, Big Barda was one of the most formidable warriors on the whole planet. Having grown up under the torturous auspices of Granny Goodness, Barda proved she could survive anything. After meeting and falling in love with Mister Miracle, the two would escape Apokolips, coming to Earth where they would eventually join the JLI.

Barda is known for her titanic strength. She's been known to give even the toughest heroes a great fight.

8 Weakest: Guy Gardner

This isn't to say Guy Gardner isn't tough- he is. However, when it comes to strength, well, we have two words for Guy- one punch. In the first issue of Justice League, Guy Gardner was sassing Batman (mostly because Guy is all about that sass) and picked a fight with Batman. Batman walked over and knocked him out with one punch.

Guy is a formidable Green Lantern but once he takes that ring off? Well, the results are obvious.

7 Strongest: Martian Manhunter

Martian Manhunter would serve the JLI during its earliest days before leaving the team. A powerful telepath, Martian Manhunter has a variety of other powers, like super strength and speed, flight, invisibility, intangibility, and more. Always among the most powerful beings on any team he finds himself on, Martian Manhunter is one of Earth's greatest heroes.

Martian Manhunter's wide variety of powers make him a foe to be reckoned, but the JLI boasted members of the team who were stronger than him.

6 Weakest: Fire

Beatriz Da Costa was a member of the Global Guardians before graduating to the Justice League. Once called Green Flame, she would rechristen herself Fire. Her powers allowed her to fire blasts of fire and fly and she would make an excellent partner to her best friend- Ice.

Fire was powerful, but when it comes to physical strength, she wasn't the cream of crop. That said, getting punched or kicked by someone who was on fire hurt just as much if not more than getting punched by someone who was stronger.

5 Strongest: Power Girl

Power Girl - JSA

Power Girl would spend some time on JLI during those confusing post-Crisis years when no one knew what was going on with her or her origin. Originally the Supergirl of Earth-2, at this time it was speculated that she could be Atlantean or an ancestor of the Daxamite Legion of Superheroes member Andromeda.

Regardless of the origin shenanigans of the time, Power Girl was still one of the strongest members of the team. An unabashed butt-kicker, Power Girl was a huge asset to the team.

4 Weakest: Ice

Another former member of the Global Guardians, Tora Olafsdotter was the princess of an isolated magic-using group of Norsemen. Much like her names implies, she had the ability to control and manipulate ice. She and her best friend Fire would make a great team and she would begin a romance with Guy Gardner, one that would bring out the softer side of the mouthy Green Lantern.

Ice was a very powerful woman but her physical strength wasn't anything to write home about. Her ice powers made her dangerous in combat but if it came to a knockdown, drag-out fistfight she was going down.

3 Strongest: Captain Atom

Captain Nathaniel Adam was framed for a crime and sentenced to execution. Instead, he volunteered for a secret experiment- testing the durability of an alien starship. Placed inside the ship while a nuclear bomb was detonated, he was seemingly disintegrated but reappeared eighteen years later with the metal of the hull of the ship bonded to his skin. He would also have incredible powers allowing him to manipulate the quantum field.

His powers would also give him amazing super strength, allowing him to go toe to toe with Superman and other amazingly strong beings in the DC Universe.

2 Weakest: Sue Dibny

The wife of the Elongated Man, Sue Dibny didn't have any superpowers. She didn't wear a costume and didn't go on very many missions with the team. However, she was just as much a member of the team as anyone. The heart and soul of the team, she was always ready with a comforting word... or a blistering insult.

Even though Sue could pack a punch when she needed to (just ask Maxwell Lord) and was one of the more feisty members of the team, she was easily the physically weakest member of the JLI.

1 Strongest: Shazam

Shazam from DC

Shazam (the superhero formally known as Captain Marvel {that totally would have been a joke they used in the comic if it happened back then}) is Billy Batson. Gifted by the Wizard Shazam with the powers of the greatest gods and heroes ever by saying the wizard's name, Shazam is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe.

Shazam is another guy who can punch it out with Superman and not only hold his own, but take down the Man of Steel and not just because his powers are based on magic- he's just that strong.
