Brutal Justice League Honest Trailer Drags Lots & Lots of CGI

The Honest Trailer for Justice League looks at the movie in a brutal light, poking fun at the DC Extended Universe, the movie’s production troubles and the copious use of CGI.

The video makes a big point of highlighting the sheer amount of CGI used to bring Justice League to life, pointing out the villainous Steppenwolf, the superheroes, the Mother boxes, the locations and — of course — the removal of Superman actor Henry Cavill’s mustache.

Perhaps Justice League‘s biggest topic of discussion since its release has been the CGI used on Superman. Cavill had to retain his mustache when returning for reshoots, and the VFX department had their work cut out for them when trying to erase all evidence of the facial hair. An image of Superman’s face became an internet sensation in the form of a meme, and this very Honest Trailer will not help anybody forget it any time soon.

Available now on digital HD and on Blu-ray and DVD starting March 13, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
