Gal Gadot said that Warner Bros. was quick to deal with Joss Whedon's verbal abuse towards her during the Justice League movie's reshoots.

Earlier this year, the Wonder Woman actor confirmed that Whedon -- who replaced original director Zack Snyder during post-production on the DC Extended Universe film -- threatened her career while the pair worked together on Justice League. "Oh, I was shaking trees as soon as it happened. And I must say that the heads of Warner Brothers, they took care of it," Gadot told Elle. "Going back to the sense of righteousness that I have...you’re dizzy because you can’t believe this was just said to you. And if he says it to me, then obviously he says it to many other people. I just did what I felt like I had to do. And it was to tell people that it’s not okay."

“I would’ve done the same thing, I think, if I was a man," Gadot continued. "Would he tell me what he told me had I been a man? I don’t know. We’ll never know. But my sense of justice is very strong. I was shocked by the way that he spoke to me. But whatever, it’s done. Water under the bridge.”

Gadot's Justice League co-star Ray Fisher, who plays Victor Stone/Cyborg in both Whedon's and Snyder's cuts of the film, also spoke out against Whedon's behavior during the movie's reshoots. "Joss [Whedon’s] on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable," Fisher tweeted in July 2020, adding that he was enabled by then DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and producer Jon Berg. This led to WarnerMedia conducting an internal investigation of Fisher's allegations later that year, the findings of which have yet to be fully made public.

Fisher has further alleged that DC Films President Walter Hamada called him in an attempt to "throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns," and stated he "will not participate in any production associated with [Hamada]." The actor marked the one-year anniversary of his Hamada allegations on Sept. 4, tweeting, "One year ago today, Walter Hamada and [Warner Bros.] failed to bury the truth about Justice League. One year ago today, they failed to bury me with lies in the trades." He then thanked his fans for their continued support.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is available on HBO Max, as well as DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD. Gadot returns to the screen in Netflix's action/comedy Red Notice, which begins streaming Nov. 12.
