WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Future State: Justice League #2 by Joshua Williamson, Robson Rocha, Daniel Henriques, Romulo Fajardo Jr. and Tom Napolitano, on sale now.

The new Flash of Future State's Justice League is quickly making a name for themselves. When they were dragged along with the rest of the Justice League into a hellscape planet, they were the key to escaping. They used their powers to escape this alternate Earth by vibrating at just the right frequency to return to their adopted Earth, but they also did something that no Flash has done before now.

In Future State: Justice League #2, they shared their power with their teammates, allowing the team to cross over together.

When the Hyperclan, a group of White Martians, ambushed and imprisoned the Justice League, the team ended up on a planet that was basically burning. With the Flash's help, the League was able to figure out that they were on some alternate Earth where things had gone horribly wrong with the environment. What they needed though was a way to get home. Fortunately, the Flash was able to figure out the right vibration to get back to the team's homeworld. Upon realizing that they couldn't carry everyone over, the Flash shared their power with the others and lead them through the multiverse.

This Flash originally come from Earth-11, a world where most of the heroes and villains are of the opposite gender to their Earth-0 counterparts. While it is unknown why Jess Chambers decided to come over to this Earth in the first place, what is known that they decided to stay and help keep the world safe.

This use of their powers though is unprecedented. While anyone with access to the Speed Force has usually been able to travel to alternate Earths, few have been able to share their power with others. And even then, it was only with others connected to the Speed Force. The best example of this was when Wally West used the Speed Force to create a tether between him and his children. But Jess, in their need to get home to stop the Hyperclan, decided to take a calculated risk and share their powers with the rest of the League.

This reveals two things. First, Jess' control and understanding of the Speed Force is so profound that they have developed the new ability to share it with others not already connected to it. This is in all probability the result of having had these powers from a very young age and most likely spending a large portion of their life studying how they work. Second, it shows that this power is not something to be taken lightly. Jess understood that if they were off in their vibrations, everyone would be sent hurtling randomly through the multiverse. But once again, the intelligence of the Future State speedster shined through and they were able to return the team to their home world just in time to save the day thanks to the powerful ability of this new Flash.
