The Justice League Forgets Green Lantern in Lego Movie 2 TV Spot

Channing Tatum as Superman in The Lego Movie

Opening in theaters everywhere in a little over a month, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part promises to feature the return of plenty of familiar faces including DC Comics' Justice League, though the team themselves very nearly forget a certain superhero on their roster: Green Lantern.

In a new TV spot for the animated film, the returning characters rally together to face extraterrestrial invaders that have turned Bricksburg into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. As the Justice League prepares to fly away, Green Lantern catches up before admonishing them for nearly leaving him behind.

"You almost forgot me guys! I'm literally a Lantern! How did you miss me?" protests Jonah Hill's Hal Jordan to an unimpressed Superman and Wonder Woman.

With Will Arnett's Batman playing a prominent role in the upcoming film once again, it will be interesting to see if his teammates get more time in the spotlight in the sequel after spending most of the original film captive.
