New box office projections indicate Justice League will finish its theatrical run having earned $675 million from worldwide markets. While the number may seem hefty at first glance, in reality it's a failure for Warner Bros., as it will have only just passed the total gross for 2013's Man of Steel ($668 million), which was also considered a colossal disappointment.
This weekend, Justice League earned an additional $4.17 million from the domestic box office, and an estimated $5.3 million internationally, bringing its domestic total to $219.4 million and international total to $414.5 million. Comparatively, Man of Steel finished with $291 million at the domestic box office; Justice League is likely to be the lowest-grossing DC Comics-based film in the domestic market since 2005's Batman Begins.
In theaters now, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
