The voice cast for and new images of the upcoming Justice League vs. the Fatal Five were revealed today. The film will feature the Justice League battling a group of time-traveling super criminals called the Fatal Five.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming DC animated movie will feature a cast of seasoned veterans along with new actors for a unique incarnation of the Justice League, its allies and the villains of the Fatal Five.

Veteran voice actors George Newbern, Kevin Conroy and Susan Eisenberg are returning to their fan-favorite roles as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, whom they voiced in the popular Justice League and Justice League Unlimited series.

They are joined by Diane Guerrero, who was cast in the upcoming DC Universe series Doom Patrol as Crazy Jane, who will voice Green Lantern Jessica Cruz. Jessica Cruz will also serve as the primary target and reason for the Fatal Five to travel back to the past in the first place, although the exact reasons for their pursuit has yet to be revealed.

The cast of modern day Justice League is rounded out by Green Lantern: The Animated Series alum Kevin Michael Richardson as Terry Holt, also known as Mr. Terrific. Anger Management’s Daniela Bobadilla is set to voice M’gann M’orzz, also known as Miss Martian.

The Justice League are joined by heroes from the Legion of Superheroes, who will consist of Star Boy, Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5. Scorpion and Game of Thrones actor Elyes Gabel will voice the density-controlling Star Boy. Shameless and The Riches actor Noel Fisher will voice Brainiac 5, and celebrated voice actor Tara Strong will voice the telepathic Saturn Girl.

The Fatal Give are a group of powerful super criminals that hail from the deep future. Mass Effect’s Peter Jessop will voice Tharok, the cyborg leader of the group. He is joined by the axe-wielding Persuader, voiced by Batman Ninja’s Yang King; the mystically empowered Emerald Empress, voiced by This Is Us’ Sumale Montano; and Mano, voiced by Grimm’s Philip Anthony Rodriguez, who possesses an antimatter touch.

The only character featured that wasn’t part of the original incarnation of the Fatal Five in the comics is the weapon-teleporting Bloodsport, voiced by Spongebob Squarepants voice actor Tom Kenney.

The official synopsis for the film reads:

"Justice League vs. The Fatal Five finds the fate of the earth hanging in the balance when the Justice League faces a powerful new threat -- the Fatal Five! Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman seek answers as the time-traveling trio of Mano, Persuader and Tharok terrorize Metropolis in search of budding Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz. With her unwilling help, they aim to free remaining Fatal Five members Emerald Empress and Validus to carry out their sinister plan. But the Justice League has also discovered an ally from another time in the peculiar Star Boy -- brimming with volatile power, could he be the key to thwarting the Fatal Five? An epic battle against ultimate evil awaits!"

The film is expected to be released spring 2019.
