Justice League Dark may yet find new life on the big -- and little -- screen.

The report indicates that Bad Robot Head of Motion Pictures Hannah Minghella and Head of Television Ben Stephenson will soon meet with talent reps and potential writers. These meetings will reportedly explore which characters will get their own projects. At the time of writing, no specific projects are in the works, nor is Abrams himself attached to direct anything.

Minghella will work to develop projects for the film side with Warner Bros. President of DC-based Film Production Walter Hamada. Meanwhile, Stephenson will tackle TV ideas with Warner Bros. Television Group's President & Chief Content Officer Peter Roth, President Susan Rovner and President Brett Paul.

Introduced in 2011 as part of DC Comics’ New 52 relaunch, Justice League Dark follows a group of supernatural heroes fighting magical and demonic threats outside the scope of the traditional Justice League. The team’s roster has included John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and many more.

While the team has never been adapted for live-action, a Justice League Dark direct-to-video animated film was released in 2017. Guillermo del Toro was originally attached to direct the live-action adaptation, with Doug Liman boarding after he left due to scheduling conflicts. Liman also stepped down because of scheduling conflicts.
