The mysterious identity of Justice League's Green Lantern has been confirmed thanks to a piece of unearthed concept art.

Concept art from the WB Movies All Access app shows the full design of the Green Lantern member that appeared in 2017's Justice League film. Lantern Yalan Gur, the image's caption reads, "defended Earth and Sector 2814 in the 10th century." 2814, of course, includes Earth.

His appearance seems to match the time period, with scaly chainmail-like green armor and a cape. Gur is alien in appearance, with pink skin and a protruding, glowing Green Lantern symbol on his chest.

Gur appeared alongside Amazon soldiers and humans in battle against Steppenwolf during his first visit to Earth. Gur appeared to have been killed in battle, and his Green Lantern ring flies off, most likely seeking a new host. Gur was the only Green Lantern to appear in the film, despite months of speculation that Lantern Hal Jordan would be making an appearance to fight alongside Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League crew.

He made his first appearance in DC Comics in 1991's Green Lantern #19, where it was explained that his power ring had its weakness to yellow removed by the Guardians of the Universe. But they added a new weakness -- wood. He was driven mad with power and sought to conquer and enslave people on Earth, and when he fled, wounded, he merged with his Lantern battery. The demise of Yalan Gur directly led to the creation of Green Lantern Alan Scott.

Fans of the Green Lantern Corps can look forward to the planned live-action film, though not much has been revealed aside from the film's tentative logo.

Justice League is now available on Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD and digital.
