New concept art for Warner Bros.’ Justice League shows off the sheer size of Batman’s aerial vehicle, the Flying Fox.
The Flying Fox is an absolute beast of a plane — as demonstrated in the concept art provided by Entertainment — having the ability to carry the “three Batmobiles,” according to Patrick Tatopoulos, the Batman v Superman and Justice League production designer. “I didn’t want to do a sleek airplane; it needed to feel like an extremely avant-garde classic. With the maneuverability of a jet—but it can actually carry things.”
“The bottom part of the jet is a huge cargo bay, which the Batmobile sits in,” Tatopoulos continued. “The second floor is like a cultural center, with computer terminals. The third story is the cockpit. Whatever floor you are on, you can see [the other] two stories.” The concept art proves that Bruce Wayne isn’t too bothered about concealing his identity in the DC Extended Universe — at least to his friends — showing off the Flying Fox to the other members of the League in his beloved Batcave.
Arriving Nov. 17, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and J. K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
