New concept art for director Zack Snyder's Justice League has been released, featuring a pair of guards from the dystopian planet of Apokolips.

Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz revealed the designs on his Instagram account with the matching caption of, "Concept art for #apokolips guard for #justiceleague This was a fun concept to work on. #conceptart #creature #alien #creaturedesign #dcu #zbrush #keyshot #batmanvsuperman #snyderverse."

Both creatures are covered in metallic armor, with their eyes nowhere to be seen. The first guard's head is covered by what looks like a clear dome structure, with only a slight view of its face displaying. The second creature definitely has the look of a guardsman, with the shape of its head giving off a helmet vibe, along with shoulder and chest armor.

With both figures being guards, one has to wonder if they would have guarded the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid, or if they would have accompanied Steppenwolf to Earth as he searched for the missing Mother Boxes.

Sandber's Shazam!, which will hit theatres April 5; Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), slated for release Feb. 7, 2020; Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman 1984, coming June 5 2020; James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, which will bow August 6, 2021 and Matt Reeves' solo Batman film, which will swing into theatres June 25, 2021.
