A stuntman who worked on 2017's Justice League has claimed that a scene he was involved in was cut for being too violent.

This new information was revealed on Instagram, where stuntman, actor and martial artist Erol Ismail posted an image of himself and his fellow stuntmen wearing Atlantean soldier armor on the set of the 2017 film. One user commented, asking what happened to the scenes glimpsed in the set photo. "It was way too violent so they cut it," Ismail replied.

"Once again WB thought Snyder Cut was too 'too violent'... this time confirmed an Atlantean stuntman. #ReleasetheSnyderCut of Justice League," the user wrote in a post on his own page, expressing his support for Zack Snyder's original cut of the film.

It was previously confirmed that much of Steppenwolf's attack on Atlantis and his subsequent retrieval of its Mother Box was left on the cutting room floor, with the final film only showing the aftermath of what had occurred: multiple Atlantean soldiers floating lifelessly in the water. While nothing was officially confirmed, it is possible that the scenes Ismail says were cut due to their amount violence are these very same scenes.

Justice League is available digitally and on Blu-ray and DVD. The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
