Derek Connolly is booking a trip from Isla Nublar to Skull Island.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Jurassic World" co-writer has been hired for some last-minute work on "Kong: Skull Island," the King Kong origin story from Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures.
Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Corey Hawkins star in the action-adventure about a team of explorers who venture onto the mysterious, primordial island that's home to an assortment of creatures, including the king of the apes.
Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (“The Kings of Summer”), the project is still filling out its cast, but plans to start production in late October in Hawaii.
