A new interview with the cast of Jurassic World Dominion has revealed which stars are interested in returning to the franchise in the future and which ones believe their characters' story arcs have reached their end with the latest sequel.

"I think this is it for me," said Chris Pratt, who plays Owen Grady in the Jurassic World films, told Total Film. "It's the perfect bookend to this franchise. As long as there's an opportunity for a brand to exist, [there are] probably going to be things. But as far as my involvement? To me, it feels like a great organic ending." Pratt's co-star Bryce Dallas Howard expressed similar sentiments regarding her future playing Claire Dearing. "I don't know what's possible from here. But it's the end of the road for my character, and for so many of these characters, in terms of it being the completion of our arcs," she said. "Which is exciting and emotional and powerful and eventful."

Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill, the stars of the original Jurassic Park, also hinted that their time playing Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, respectively, were coming to a close. Neill, however, suggested that the "really good, young people in [Dominion], like Mamoudou [Athie]" should "carry the torch" in any future Jurassic installments. DeWanda Wise, who makes her franchise debut as Kayla Watts in Dominion is "super-ready" to come back for more dino action and believes "Kayla could run a sequel and have a prequel."

Colin Trevorrow, who helmed 2015's Jurassic World, returned to the director's chair for Jurassic World Dominion after sitting out 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which was directed by J. A. Bayona. Trevorrow implied that Dominion might be his final Jurassic film as director, but stated that he hoped he would "be able to provide the kind of guidance and mentorship to the next filmmaker that [he] was provided" when he first joined the franchise back in 2013. Universal has not officially announced a seventh Jurassic film at this time.
