Jurassic World: Dominion will be kicking off its marketing campaign in a splashy fashion on another Universal blockbuster.

Universal has announced that Dominion will receive a five-minute preview on IMAX showings of F9, with the footage being presented in a 1:90:1 IMAX aspect ratio. The piece will include a sequence set 65 million years in the past, showing a world ruled over by dinosaurs, as well as how mosquitos came to carry that precious dinosaur DNA. Music from Michael Giacchino, the composer for all three Jurassic World movies, will be featured, as will seven new species of dinosaurs never before seen in the franchise.

This preview will not just focus on the past, however. Footage will also pick up from the ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which featured dinosaurs let loose on a planet that they no longer call just their own. All of this preview material will be available in F9 IMAX screenings domestically as well as in a large number of foreign territories, such as the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil.

"As part of our celebration welcoming moviegoers back into theaters this summer, we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to say, 'thank you' to the hundreds of millions of Jurassic and Fast fans around the world," said Jim Orr, President of Domestic Theatrical Distribution for Universal Pictures. "This first look at Jurassic World: Dominion that Colin and his team put together is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Even better, there’s simply no more perfect place to experience both the Dominion Preview and F9 than on a massive IMAX screen. This really is the ultimate movie-fan experience."

"Ever since I was a kid, I have wanted to see dinosaurs in their natural habitat," Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow said. "It may have taken a few decades, but with a little help from ILM, Universal and Amblin, it has finally happened. This preview is just a glimpse of the film we’ve made. It’s an epic celebration of everything Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton created, and I can’t wait to share it with the world next summer."

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World: Dominion stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Jake Johnson, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Omar Sy, Isabelle Sermon and B.D. Wong. The film arrives in theaters on June 10, 2022.
