Bryce Dallas Howard and DeWanda Wise, two stars of Jurassic World Dominion, have both expressed interest in reprising their roles for future entries in the franchise.

Speaking to ComingSoon, the pair were asked if they would be open to playing their characters again, and both were enthusiastic about the idea. Howard, who appeared as Claire Dearing in all three entries of the Jurassic World trilogy, said, "Yes [to returning]. That’s such a special thing, and it’s so rare for an actor to get to experience that, to revisit a character again and again. In addition to that, it’s like decades between."

Wise, who played pilot Kayla Watts in Dominion, was similarly excited at the prospect of playing the character further down the line, with the actor referencing the roles that returning members Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern played in the latest film. "It’s one thing to build a character backstory and more to like have built one the first time," she said. "If you talk to Laura Dern about Ellie Satler and what happened, in that space between [Jurassic Park and Jurassic World Dominion], it’s just amazing. It’s really cool."

In addition to a revamped prologue, extra footage will be devoted to Claire's rooftop chase, with Howard expressing joy at the set-piece. "It’s great to see all those additional moments, but it’s just especially meaningful that the scenes from the original movie have been restored," she said. "It was a really exciting sequence to get to watch now being a part of the extended edition, because it feels even more exciting and thrilling."

Jurassic World Dominion saw Neill, Goldblum and Dern return as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ian Malcolm and Dr. Ellie Satler respectively, with the reunion marking the first time that all three characters had shared the screen since Jurassic Park. The film, which grossed $980 million at the global box office, marked the conclusion of the storyline that began in Steven Spielberg's 1993 film. No announcements have been made on the future of the franchise.

Jurassic World Dominion will be available to stream on Peacock starting on Sept. 2.
