A new featurette for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom focuses on the film's real stars — the dinosaurs.

The sequel to 2015's Jurassic World sees director J.A. Bayona take the reins of the blockbuster franchise for a film that, for the first time since 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park, takes the dinosaurs beyond the Isla Islands of Costa Rica.

With Universal PIctures hyping the release of the fifth movie in the series on National Dinosaur Day, a behind-the-scenes video promises more dinosaurs than any other Jurassic movie. In fact, the cast and crew say there will be more dinosaurs than the previous four movies combined.

Hidden in the clip is some new footage, honing in on the dinosaurs that have set the Jurassic movies away from the rest of their sci-fi counterparts. A roll call of dinosaurs include the likes of T-Rex, Raptor, Mosasaurus, Baryonyx, Carnotaurus, Sinoceratops and an adorably cute Stygimoloch. However, the dinosaur overload doesn't end there, as the featurette tells fans a little more about a surprise addition.

It was no secret that a new dinosaur would become the de facto villain of Fallen Kingdom, but the promo gives a closer look at the Indoraptor in action. Thankfully, for those fearing that Fallen Kingdom could be a flash affair made totally out of CGI, the video also shows the extensive work that has gone into using the detailed animatronics that made the first movie so revolutionary.

Alongside returning stars like Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, B.D. Wong and Jeff Goldblum, a whole host of fan-favorite dinosaurs will be back for more. As the video reveals, the T-Rex first featured in Steven Spielberg's 1993 original will still play a major part, joined by Owen Grady's Blue from Jurassic World and the dangerous new Indoraptor. Just like Jurassic World saw InGen craft the hybrid Indominus Rex, it looks like the mistakes of playing God haven't taught anyone anything.

It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, directed by J.A. Bayona from a script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, arrives June 22, and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong, joined by Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell and Jeff Goldblum.
