Chris Pratt strikes up a new friendship in the first (unexpectedly adorable) footage from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Tweeted by producer Colin Trevorrow, the six seconds of footage from the Universal Pictures depicts Pratt's smiling Owen Grady stroking a chittering baby velociraptor under the chin. "From our Jurassic family to yours," Trevorrow tweeted.

Little remains known about the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Jurassic World, but it's been promoted with the tagline “Life Finds a Way," a callback a line of dialogue spoken by Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm in the original Jurassic Park. The clip of Pratt with his new pal would also seem to be a nod to a scene from the 1993 film, in which Richard Attenborough's John Hammond similarly greets a hatching dinosaur.

Directed by J.A. Bayona from a script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong, joined by Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell and Jeff Goldblum. The sequel to Jurassic World arrives June 22, 2018.
