Mark Millar and Frank Quitely's Image Comics series "Jupiter's Legacy" hits stores next week, and when the generation-spanning superhero epic arrives, its writer is hoping fans will celebrate with a drink on him.

In advance of the April 24 launch, Millar is inviting readers in eight cities across the globe to have a drink at release parties where he'll be ponying up to buy the first round. The first party pops off on April 23 in Manila before the seven subsequent parties kick off the next night at 8:00 PM local time. Each location will have a specially selected "Booze Warden" "Supercrooks" director Nacho Vigalondo covering Spain, "Indestructible Hulk" artist Leinil Yu in Manila, Quitely himself hosting the Glasgow party and Millar flying out to New York for what was originally going to be a pub night on the Wednesday, but is now going to be a big signing the following day on Thursday, April 25 at Midtown Comics. "I planned to do both nights," Millar said. "But as someone pointed out, it seems weird to have a competing event the evening before a signing for exactly the same thing and I want to support the store who is hosting me."

And for those who aren't close enough to make one of the launch parties, Millar and Quitely have something for them too. The pair shared with CBR an exclusive look at the final character teasers for the series showing the core cast of super family who will drive the action of the book.
