Max Minghella, Juno Temple, Joe Anderson and Kelli Garner are in talks to join Daniel Radcliffe in Horns, the Mandalay Pictures supernatural thriller based on the bestselling novel by Joe Hill, TheWrap reports.

Directed by Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes), Horns follows Ignatius “Ig” Perrish (Radcliffe), whose girlfriend Merrin is mysteriously slaughtered, leaving him as the only suspect. On the first anniversary of her murder, Ig awakens from a night of drinking to discover he's sprouted horns that compel people to confess their sins and give in to their worst impulses. As his horns grow even larger, Ig sets out to find the monster that killed Merrin. Keith Bunin (In Treatment) wrote the screenplay.

Minghella (The Social Network) will play Lee Tourneau, Ig's troubled childhood friend who hides a dark side. Although the article doesn't specify the other roles, it seems likely Anderson (Control, The Ruins) has been cast as Ig's older brother Terry, a rising star who hosts a late-night television variety show. That leaves Temple (The Dark Knight Rises, Killer Joe) and Garner (Man of the House, Bully) as Ig's girlfriend Merrin and his roommate/friend with benefits Glenna -- although who'll play which role is anyone's guess.

Horns is the second novel by Hill, who’s better known to comics readers as the writer of IDW Publishing’s Locke & Key. His 2007 debut novel Heart-Shaped Box is being developed by director Neil Jordan for Warner Bros.
