Jungle Cruise has so far earned over $100 million at the domestic box office and $187 million worldwide, as well as an additional $30 million from its paid Disney+ streaming release. The film has maintained a steady influx of viewers in its five weeks in theaters, which has helped it to grow to be one of the bigger hits from this summer season. In fact, the movie is still seeing box office returns reeling from theater closures and pandemic restrictions.

The original Jungle Cruise, which is based on the Disneyland ride of the same name, was in development for over 15 years before it was finally released.
