An official trailer was unveiled at this year's E3 in Los Angeles depicting a character mash up of Goku, Naruto, and Monkey D. Luffy teaming up to fight Frieza in the middle of a ruined city. Following the reveal of the game's title, Death Note characters Light Yagami and Ryuk were revealed to be involved as well.

The game will also include many familiar locations from each series, as evidenced by the ruined Hokage statues from Naruto and the Thousand Sunny from One Piece. The company also confirmed that stages in the game will include real-life locations, like Times Square in New York City and the Matterhorn in the Alps.

Kotaku later shared a video showing off gameplay footage of the three-versus-three tag team fighting game. This footage also confirmed that Roronoa Zoro of One Piece and Sasuke Uchiha of Naruto will be playable characters.

The title will be released sometime in 2019, and will be made available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
