Jump Force is an anime fighting game featuring characters from several different franchises. All of these characters show up in numerous Jump magazines, which is a Japanese serialization that mainly promotes Shounen. It includes several characters and numerous individuals from different shows. It includes Goku, the Saiyan warrior from planet Vegeta as shown in the successful anime, Dragon Ball Z. It includes Ichigo Kurosaki, a half Shinigami, half Quincy, full human warrior from Bleach. There's also Yugi Moto, a card playing genius from Yu-Gi-Oh!

Of course, it wouldn't be complete without characters from Naruto, the show that's normalized anime in the Western world.

10 Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo Kurosaki is Soul Society’s number one substitute Soul Reaper and the main protagonist of Bleach. He is the bridge that connects the two sects which have been at war for 1000's of years i.e the Soul Reaper and the Quincys, as he himself is a hybrid born from the forbidden union of the two sects.

Ichigo is a very complete character. He has great damage, counters and the best projectile in the game post-awakening due to it being super fast, high damaging and almost impossible to block on reaction when playing online due to lag and the project’s good tracking property.

9 Roronoa Zoro

Zoro is the swordsman of the infamous Straw-Hat pirates on a journey to become the greatest swordsman in the world. He invented the 'Santoryu'( three sword style) and is one of the strongest non-devil fruit eaters in the entire series. He has undergone insane training from his youth to hone his skills and built up all the muscles in the human anatomy to the point where his jaw and neck had the strength to hold a katana with ease. As a character, he has slightly better damage output than Ichigo but lacks a great projectile, however, he makes up for that with an unblockable attack that deals insanely high damage.

8 Killua Zoldyck

Killua Zoldyck is one of the most iconic characters of the Hunter x Hunter series and the best friend of Gon Freecss. He is from a family of assassins and has been trained from birth in the art of killing and was also brainwashed to only engage battles which have an absolute certainty of victory. As a character, he has great damage output and a thunderbolt skill that counters almost all approaches and acts as great damage conversions. His first special is also one of the easiest combo extensions, allowing great assists synergy and all of this package is before he powers up with Godspeed. Then he is virtually unstoppable once he gets an opening.

7 Sōsuke Aizen

Aizen is the former captain of the 5th Division of the Gotai 13 and one of the most overpowered antagonists of Bleach. He was also the first person to master the powers of the Hōgyoku (crumbling orb) by reaching a state that ascended soul reaper and merged it with hollows. As a character, he is broken, because his Air Tight ability is a solid counter for projectile spammers, his rush and strong attacks have amazing tracking and block stun properties allowing offensive pressure to keep the opponent blocking and a lightning ability that is hard to evade.

An added bonus is his vanishing when charging strong attacks mid-air.

6 Jotaro Kujo

The grandson of Joseph Joestar and the main protagonist of the second season of the series, Jotaro is the definition of badass. His stand Star Platinum has high strength, high speed, high defense, pinpoint accuracy and the ability to stop time. As a character he has great damage, easy synergy with assists, his Star Finger skill is plus on block, great normals, and hard to punish after using escape due to his stand having a slight range and one of the fastest and hardest to read grabs that work as a true block strong.

5 Blackbeard

Marshall D. Teach a.k.a Blackbeard is one of the main antagonists in One Piece with two devil fruit abilities. The first ability is Yami Yami no Mi (dark-dark fruit) which he gained after murdering Thatch and the other is Gura Gura no Mi (tremor-tremor fruit) which he gained after killing Whitebeard during the Marineford war. As a character, he has a good move-set but the character's avatar and special effects cover over half the screen at most times making you wonder what’s even going on and this pretty much disrupts any offensive and pressure strings as well as defensive plays.

4 Frieza

One of the greatest villains to ever appear in Dragon Ball Z. The tyrant, Frieza, is responsible for the destruction of planet Vegeta and the first revolutionary transformation in the entire series. He is also the only villain to achieve god-level power and also in a record time of 4 months. As a character, he is built mainly as a zoner character but his zoning ability is pretty bad as it is easy to sidestep and dodge most of their abilities and at close range, their damage output is very low, so basically, his build for the game is not effective.

3 Kurapika

The last surviving member of the Kurta clan with the goal to avenge his clan and recover the remaining Scarlet Eyes. He is a Blacklist Hunter with the code name 'Rat' and the leader of the organization founded by Light Nostrade. As a character, he is an embarrassment to the standard set by the anime adaptation, with a healing ability that is abysmal as it only heals a negligible amount of health.

His damage output is also very low and that usually prevents game changers during battle. His only good property is meter siphoning off the opponent, other than that, he just lacks everything.

2 Yugi Muto

Yugi Muto or Yugi Mutou is the modern-day version of Pharoah Atem and together with his spirit, holds the title of 'King of Duelists'. Yugi possesses the three-thousand-year-old mystical Millennium Puzzle which hosts the spirit of Yami Yugi. Yugi often involuntarily shifts to Yami Yugi when he faces hard obstacles. As a character, Yugi faces the same problems as Frieza, he is built as a zoner character but he is bad at it. Easy to sidestep and dodge his attacks as well as recent damage nerf in the current patch release, causing him to transition from a playable status to a non-playable status in the current meta.

1 Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

The former matriarch of the Ōtsutsuki clan and mother of Hagoromo and Hamura Ōtsutsuki, Kaguya is the first person to wield chakra after consuming fruit from the God Tree and later, merges with the tree to become the Ten-Tails. She is also the first person to awaken the Rinne Sharingan and is the final villain in the Shippuden series. As a character, she is very meter dependent, meaning you have to cash in a lot of meters to get substantial damage and even that is not significant enough. Her zoning ability is abysmal and her pressure, offensive and defensive game is awful. By far the worst character in the current meta. The only redeeming quality is a good ultimate.
