Jumanji: The Next Level producer Hiram Garcia confirmed that plans for Dwayne Johnson to play the game one more time are still in motion.

When asked about the likelihood of another Jumanji movie, Garcia stated, "It's going to happen. It's going to happen, for sure." However, a pitch for the movie has yet to be presented to Sony, as Garcia confirmed to Collider, "We just were discussing the pitch the other day. We're bringing it into Sony shortly. But that movie's going to happen."

The first of the Dwayne Johnson-led Jumanji movies, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, was followed by The Next Level in 2019. A third installment was teased during a mid-credits scene and rumors from early 2021 suggested that Ryan Reynolds could be joining the cast. Whether Reynolds is part of the next Jumanji or not, filming isn't due to start for several months due to the busy schedules of all involved. Garcia stated, "As you can imagine, Kevin [Hart] is super busy doing a million things, just like [Johnson] is. All of the actors are super busy. So the timing is going to work out great, but we have a really great pitch for the movie we're about to bring into the studio, probably going to get a script written soon."

One of those things keeping Johnson busy is Red Onean Amazon Studios project based on an original story idea by Garcia. Johnson is scheduled to play the lead and Jumanji director Jake Kasdan is attached to direct. Garcia describes it as "an epic, edge-of- your seat, action adventure that takes beloved holiday mythology and turns it on its head."

As well as Red One and Jumanji, Johnson and Garcia are also bringing the DC Comics character Black Adam to life. "Black Adam is a disruptor in the DC Comics world, and it has to be a disruptor in the way that we make a superhero movie," stated movie director Jaume Collet-Serra.

He continued, "I like to be challenged, and I wanted to create new technology, so we developed the way that [Adam] moves, the way that he flies, his costume. And then it trickled down to every other character and the movie itself. But there was always the goal – to be new and unique in the storytelling and in every aspect of it."
