Megumi Fushiguro is one-third of Jujutsu Kaisen's leading trio. Though he believes helping people is his duty, Megumi does not want to be considered a hero. He strictly adheres to these ideals. Though Nobara complains about Megumi's secretive behavior and unwillingness to discuss his past openly, it's understandable given his rather complicated backstory.

While Megumi certainly isn't the most outgoing jujutsu sorcerer on the block, he's proven himself a reliable and trustworthy friend. If given a chance, Megumi would find friends from several different anime — especially if they could empathize with his backstory or share the same values as him.

10 Shinji & Megumi Would Share Similar Philosophies About The World

Shinji Ikari Emerges In Eva Unit 01

Viewers often misunderstand Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. There's a hot debate about whether he's a good protagonist or not. However, he and Megumi would get along pretty well. They'd be able to empathize with each other's backgrounds and would understand each other's views.

Though their personalities are significantly different, they have several apparent similarities. Shinji and Megumi share similar philosophies about the world. Megumi's quote, "The only thing granted equally to all is an unfair reality," would undoubtedly resonate with Shinji.

9 Megumi Would Get Along Well With Seijuro Akashi

Seijuro Akashi in Kuroko's Basketball.

Though Megumi's not a basketball player, he'd be friends with Seijuro Akashi from Kuroko's Basketball. Though he initially seems like one of the scariest characters in the anime, Seijuro's actually a respectful, caring person once his external personality fades away. He's always around to boost his team's morale, to the point where the rest of his team can join Seijuro in the "Zone."

If Megumi and Seijuro were to meet, they'd easily become friends. Their personalities would complement each other. They're both introverted but in different ways. While Megumi is more aloof and isn't the most friendly person, Seijuro is just a bit more expressive and outgoing. They'd understand each other on a deep level and become great friends.

8 Megumi Would Respect Guts' Strength & Perseverance

Guts Gets Ready To Draw His Sword In Berserk

Despite all of the trauma Guts has endured during Berserk, he's become a stronger person because of it. When he discovered his true passion for swordsmanship, Guts' world changed. He's endured unfathomable trials throughout his life, but Guts proved his perseverance every time. Even when victory seems impossible, Guts overcomes the odds and lives to fight another day.

Megumi would certainly respect his resilience and resolve. Guts could become somewhat of a mentor figure for Megumi if they were ever to meet. Since Guts has pretty much seen it all, he could pass a lot of his wisdom onto Megumi in a way that would encourage him to become an even stronger sorcerer.

7 Megumi & Atsushi Have Similar Ideals & They Would Make An Excellent Team

Atsushi from Bungou Stray Dogs Smiling

Megumi and Atsushi Nakajima from Bungo Stray Dogs have similar senses of justice, and they're both willing to do whatever it takes to save others. Both Megumi and Atsushi believe that, given their respective abilities, it's their duty to protect the innocent. While Megumi only believes that good people deserve to be saved, Atsushi tries to empathize with his enemies.

If they were to team up in a fight, Megumi and Atsushi would make a strong team. Between Megumi's Ten Shadows technique and Atsushi's Beast Beneath The Moonlight, any opponent who goes against them will be defeated in an instant.

6 Megumi Would Respect Erza Scarlet's Strength

Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail is an S-Ranked wizard, making her one of the guild's strongest members. Though she seems abrasive at first, she's a kind person who acts as a peacekeeper for the guild. She's responsible and keeps some of the rowdier members in check. Despite her tragic, exploitative childhood, Erza became a strong person, and she seeks to protect the innocent from suffering.

Megumi would certainly respect Erza's strength and ideals. Though their ideals may clash on who exactly deserves to be saved, they'd agree it's their job to save the good people of the world. Additionally, if Megumi and Erza were ever to team up, they'd make an incredible duo. They're both strategic fighters who can quickly turn a battle in their favor.

5 Megumi & Levi Ackerman Would Make A Strong Team

Levi Ackerman ready for battle in Attack On Titan.

Levi Ackerman from Attack On Titan would certainly become friends with Megumi. They're both among the strongest in their respective organizations, but neither become arrogant about it. Both Megumi and Levi are incredibly loyal to their friends, too. It'd be a terrible day for all their enemies if they were to team up.

Their behavior in battle would also complement each other. Levi and Megumi would work off of each other's strengths during a fight while encouraging each other to grow from their weaknesses. Rather than going for the kill, Megumi will hesitate to unleash his full power because of the collateral damage. Since Levi is more decisive, he'd help Megumi snap out of that mindset so he could focus on winning the battle at hand.

4 Kurapika & Megumi Are Very Similar, But They Would Make For An Incredibly Overpowered Duo

Kurapika from Hunter X Hunter

Kurapika from Hunter X Hunter and Megumi have similar personality types. They're both level-headed, calculating people who care deeply for their friends. They understand the potential of their power and the potential dangers it could unleash. However, they'd find comradery and understanding in each other because of their complicated pasts, even though they come from vastly different backgrounds.

Additionally, they both have impressive strengths that surpass the other characters in their respective series. Kurapika is among one of Hunter X Hunter's strongest Nen users, while Megumi's Ten Shadows Cursed technique gives him the potential to surpass even the most powerful sorcerers. If they were to team up, every enemy in a 50-mile radius should fear them.

3 Jotaro Could Become A Mentor Figure For Megumi

Jotaro in Part 4

While Megumi would have felt out of place among the Stardust Crusaders, he would get along well with Jotaro Kujo — especially in later parts of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Particularly during part four, Jotaro would surely take Megumi under his wing. They both come off as rather deadpan and off-putting to those who've recently met them.

Both Jotaro & Megumi were also delinquents in their past, with Jotaro being a rough high-schooler and Megumi always picking fights with bullies in middle school. They'd understand each other pretty well, and Jotaro would probably become a mentor for Megumi as he did for the gang in part four.

2 Shoto & Megumi Have Much More In Common Than One Would Think

MHA Todoroki using ice and fire

Alongside their obvious similarities, Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia has more in common with Megumi than what initially meets the eye. They both come from complicated backgrounds regarding their families, and their personalities are nearly identical. However, one significant similarity stands out between the two: they both limited their powers.

Shoto refrained from using his right side because it unleashed the flames he inherited from his abusive father. On the other hand, Megumi withheld unleashing his full jujutsu powers because he believes sacrificing himself for everyone else's sake can fix everything in the worst-case scenario. Though quirks are vastly different from cursed energy, Shoto & Megumi would be able to understand each other because of their similar backstories and how they relate to their abilities.

1 Megumi & Giyu Tomioka Were In Similar Situations

Giyu with a straight face

Giyu Tomioka is the Water Hashira in Demon Slayer. He's a pragmatic individual with a keen sense of justice. Though he follows the Demon Slayer Corps' laws, he still violated them so he could protect Nezuko. Like Giyu, Megumi knew that saving Yuji would violate the Jujutsu code of conduct — yet, he urged Satoru to protect and help his new friend.

They'd be able to empathize with each other based on such coincidentally similar circumstances. Megumi and Giyu are also aloof individuals with strong philosophies on justice and why they chose their respective paths of jujutsu sorcery and demon-slaying. They'd also respect each other's impressive strengths — Megumi with cursed techniques and Giyu with his immense Water Breathing abilities.
