The story of Jujutsu Kaisen takes a few cues from earlier action shonen series before it, such as Tite Kubo's Bleach and Katsura Hoshino's D.Gray-Man. Yuji Itadori, the shonen hero, finds himself in the dark and terrifying world of curses and jujutsu sorcery, and he is Sukuna's living vessel, like it or not. Fortunately, Yuji has reliable allies such as the outgoing Satoru Gojo to help him.

Satoru Gojo may be a supporting character, but fans love him as an overpowered and funny shonen hero who can save the day and chew the scenery at the same time, even outshining Yuji and Nobara in many scenes. Satoru Gojo's personality can be measured and assessed in a number of ways, and one of them is the Myers-Briggs personality test. His MBTI personality type says a lot about him.

Satoru Gojo's MBTI Personality Type: ENFP-A, The Campaigner

Satoru Gojo models fancy clothes in Jujutsu Kaisen

Satoru Gojo, as an ENFP-A, is a lively and outgoing person who can't help but step into the spotlight, no matter what's going on. As a Campaigner, his MBTI type stands for Extraverted Intuitive Feeling Prospecting Assertive, making it clear that he is a smart and optimistic person who thrives on the attention of others. A Campaigner is somewhat similar to the Entertainer personality type, except that Campaigners are better at planning and organizing, and aren't quite as whimsical or hedonistic as Entertainers are. A Campaigner is an Entertainer who can run a business.

A Campaigner is a people person above all, and an ENFP-A like Satoru Gojo thrives on attention and admiration from others, rarely getting burnt out in their social life at all. Campaigners love to meet and understand new people, dig deeper into how other people tick, and think about the philosophical meaning of life all the while. Campaigners like to ponder the mysteries of the universe and try to factor in all the people around them to see how it all works on a human level. Campaigners also seek the joy of life and aren't too interested in strict routines or formulas, though they are still capable of making basic plans and formulating strategies to some degree. At some point, though, the Campaigner might get impatient and start making it all up as they go, regardless of the outcome.

Satoru Gojo As A Campaigner In Jujutsu Kaisen

satoru gojo from jujutsu kaisen funny

At times, Satoru Gojo can be serious and deadly in the story of Jujutsu Kaisen, such as when he is facing Mahito's most powerful allies and other curses. Satoru may joke around, but he won't let curses have their way, and he is also skilled at formulating the perfect training regimen for any student, most of all Yuji Itadori. Satoru is efficient and purposeful, but he cloaks his focused mind in whimsical fun and partying it up with everyone around him. He's equally liable to tease Utahime as he is to figure out a cunning plan to take Mahito's team down.

From the very start, Satoru Gojo has been an outgoing and warm person who is easy to like, and any true Campaigner needs charisma so they can cultivate and strengthen an enriching personal life. Satoru doesn't make it his life's mission to have lots of friends, but it sure helps, and an empathetic and heroic person like him can't help but help those in need and defend them from cruelty and injustice. After all, it was Satoru who protected Yuji from the higher-up sorcerers who wanted him dead, and Satoru seems to have friends and allies everywhere. He has a strong reputation not just from his massively overpowered Domain, but also his flamboyant and gung-ho personality.

All this makes it easy for Yuji to trust and like Satoru Gojo, who is almost like the campaign manager of Yuji's education as a trainee jujutsu sorcerer. Satoru also comes off strongly to everyone around him, and some people react positively, such as Yuji and sometimes Nobara, while others quickly become tired or exasperated, such as his ally Kento Nanami, the moody Utahime and even Megumi Fushiguro, who aren't always so happy to see him. Still, Satoru has the brilliant insights and intuition of a true Campaigner, so these characters at least respect him, even if they can't stand the cheery and sociable side of his Campaigner personality type.
