Jujutsu Kaisen is known for its strong cast of charismatic characters. Each sorcerer's and curse's abilities are unique, but that's not to say that there's no clear distinction of ranking. Not everyone is capable of Domain Expansions and intricate curse techniques, but Jujutsu Kaisen's ensemble cast still demonstrates a wide variety of skills.
Jujutsu Kaisen's characters employ distinctive and individualized powers, fighting styles, and curses. Through the series, viewers are able to engage with a complex and interesting power system through mesmerizing fight scenes.
10 Nobara Kugisaki Has A Wealth Of Yet-Unrealized Potential
Nobara, alongside Megumi and Yuji, make up the freshmen class of Tokyo Jujutsu High. She's known for her Straw Doll Technique that allows her to freely manipulate nails and damage her opponents. She's also able to use a doll as a proxy to further maim her enemies.
Nobara is a formidable opponent but compared to other characters in the series, she has a lot of room for growth. While she's still an inexperienced sorcerer, there's great potential for Nobara.
9 Megumi Fushiguro Could Be Gojo's Successor
Megumi is the series' deuteragonist. As a member of the Zenin family, a clan known for possessing powerful inherited cursed techniques, it's obvious Megumi is a gifted sorcerer. Megumi is recognized for his Ten Shadows Technique and noted by many powerful characters, such as Gojo and Sukuna, to have great potential.
There's a lot of foreshadowing of Megumi's true potential, but fans have yet to see it. For now, Megumi is a strong first-year who seems to focus on himself. He still lags behind fellow classmate and friend Yuji in terms of strength, speed, and skill.
8 Maki Zenin Has Unparalleled Discipline and Strength
Maki is a second-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Despite being from the Zenin family, Maki wasn't born with any cursed energy. Cursed energy is an essential power source for sorcerers, the fuel for their jujutsu. To make up for her lack of cursed energy, Maki has extraordinary physical abilities; her speed and strength are second only to Yuji's. Her battle with Dagon showed that Maki is a hair behind a grade 1 sorcerer, but her lack of cursed energy stunts her potential.
7 Yuji Itadori Is A Strong But Still-Developing Shonen Lead
Yuji is Jujutsu Kaisen's protagonist. Like Nobara and Megumi, Yuji's ranking primarily stems from his lack of experience and room for growth. Despite his inexperience, Yuji is inherently physically and mentally strong. It's shown that Yuji had superhuman-like abilities even without cursed energy. His entrance into the Jujutsu Kaisen world was primarily because a vessel as strong as him, capable of containing the King of Curses, Sukuna, has not appeared for nearly a thousand years. His future growth will likely send him to the top of the jujutsu world in the future.
6 Toge Inumaki Has A Killer Voice
Inumaki is a second-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High and a semi-grade 1 sorcerer, which means his strength is comparable to a tank. His primary technique is Cursed Speech, which forces anyone who hears his words to obey them. If he demands his opponent to cut their arm off, they will have to complete the action.
Inumaki's not an opponent to be messed with. His terrifying technique has no true restriction, though stronger commands rebound cursed energy onto him and can injure him. Inumaki chooses to only communicate with innocuous safe words to avoid inadvertently hurting those around him.
5 Kento Nanami Is A Serious Sorcerer Working Overtime
Nanami is one of the fandom's most beloved characters. Despite his businesslike appearance, Nanami is actually one of the most powerful sorcerers in the series. Nanami is a grade 1 sorcerer who performs missions for Jujutsu High and is capable of holding his own in a physical fight against special grade cursed spirits. Mahito, one of the first season's main antagonists, recognized Nanami's strength both times they fought — though Nanami couldn't totally beat Mahito either time.
4 Mahito Pushes His Limits With Every Fight
Mahito is a cursed spirit, one of the many spiritual beings composed of humans' negative emotions. Mahito was able to face Yuji and Nanami, a grade 1 sorcerer, on his own. Without Sukuna, Yuji and Nanami would have been easy targets for Mahito. Mahito is highly intelligent and resistant to physical damage, and his Domain Expansion, Self-Embodiment of Perfection, is capable of devastating its targets. He's not a cursed spirit to be crossed.
3 Suguru Geto's Cunning Mind And Cursed Technique Make Him A Force To Be Reckoned With
Geto was once a student at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, where his powers were considered only second to his classmate Gojo's. Unfortunately, Geto became consumed with hatred for non-sorcerers, leading to his eventual massacre of entire villages of ordinary humans.
He is one of four special-grade sorcerers in the series and is known for his cursed technique, Cursed Spirit Manipulation, which allows him to use cursed spirits he'd exterminated in battle. Alongside his fearsome power is his tactical intellect. Following his expulsion from Jujutsu High, Geto manipulated his way to becoming powerful enough to threaten humanity itself.
2 Ryomen Sukuna, The King Of Curses, Never Loses
Little has yet been revealed about the existence of Ryomen Sukuna besides his fearsome strength. Sukuna is regarded as the King of Curses, and for good reason. Though defeated during the Golden Age of Jujutsu, he couldn't truly be killed, and his twenty severed fingers became powerful cursed objects. Even the limited power he possesses in Yuji's body still allows him to easily defeat some of the series' most powerful antagonists.
Sukuna is capable of regrowing limbs and even resurrecting the dead with his reverse cursed technique. While the true upper limit of his skills are unknown, his existence still drives fear into some of the strongest characters in the jujutsu universe.
1 Satoru Gojo Possesses Limitless Power — Literally
Gojo's position at the top of the jujutsu world is to be expected. He is said to be the most powerful sorcerer to have ever existed and even personally proclaimed he would be able to defeat Sukuna. Gojo's two techniques, Limitless and Six Eyes, easily allow him to claim the title of the strongest sorcerer. His Unlimited Void Domain Expansion requires little effort to defeat even the strongest of special grade curses.
Spirits and sorcerers alike acknowledge that Gojo's powers are in a league of their own. His complete control of the very atoms around him coupled with his incomparable strength made it crystal clear Gojo would nab the first place slot on this list.
