Fans can now stream the modern shonen anime classic Jujutsu Kaisen on Funimation.

Funimation announced that the series is now available on its streaming service as of Oct. 4 in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico. Jujutsu Kaisen is available with its original Japanese language track with subtitles, or dubbed in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and English.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the anime follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who strives to become a jujutsu sorcerer and defeat the demon Sukuna by consuming all of the demon's cursed fingers. Upon its premiere in 2020, Jujutsu Kaisen quickly became immensely popular amongst anime fans around the world and received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. The series received the  'Anime of the Year,' 'Best Antagonist' and 'Best Ending Sequence' at the 2021 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

Studio MAPPA (Attack on Titan: The Final SeasonBanana Fish) animated Jujutsu Kaisen and Sunghoo Park (The God of High School) directed the series with Hiroshi Seko (Deca-DanceVinland Saga) overeeing its scripts and Tadashi Hiramatsu (Yuri!! On IceParasyte -the maxim-) designing the characters.

The original season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime ran for 24 episodes from October 2020 to March 2021. A film adaptation of the manga's Volume 0 prequel story is scheduled to premiere in Japan in December.
