Many curses are grotesque enough that even the best horror movie villains pale in comparison to them. Others have dangerous cursed techniques that are a death sentence for whichever poor soul they're unleashed upon. Fans would not want to run into any of these horrifying cursed spirits in a dark alley.

Major spoilers ahead for Jujutsu Kaisen's manga!

10 Naoya Zenin's Reincarnated Form Is Nightmare Fuel For Those With Trypophobia

Naoya Zenin's Curse Form In Jujutsu Kaisen.

Naoya Zenin was killed with the rest of his clan after Maki's rampage before the Culling Game arc. However, that wasn't the end of his story. In chapter 191, it was revealed that Naoya actually reincarnated as a grotesque worm-like vengeful cursed spirit.

Fans with trypophobia were instantly horrified by Naoya's reincarnated form. He's a giant worm with a bunch of holes on his face. His new form is pure nightmare fuel for those with the fear of holes. Luckily, his attacks are pretty weak compared to other curses in the series.

9 The Finger Bearers Are Total Jumpscares

A Finger Bearer from Jujutsu Kaisen

Finger Bearers are special-grade curses that manifest from the cursed wombs triggered by Sukuna's fingers. They're terrifying to look at. During their debut, one of them snuck up between Megumi and Yuji during a conversation.

Finger Bearers are total jumpscares who are difficult for even the best jujutsu sorcerers to defeat. Still, they pale in comparison to Sakuna himself. Regardless, with eerie smiles and eyes connected to tentacle-like fixtures around their head, they're definitely some of the series' creepiest curses.

8 Jogo Is Stronger Than Fans Are Led To Believe

One-eyed cursed spirit Jogo wrapped in his yellow and black coat, grinning.

Jogo's volcanic head is reflective of his short temper. He'll blow a fuse when he gets mad, and the volcano on his head erupts. Earlier in the series, he got annoyed and ended up incinerating an entire diner full of people.

Even though Jogo doesn't look like one of the series' strongest curses, he's a special-grade cursed spirit whose strength earned him Sukuna's praises. Unfortunately, he rarely showed his skills throughout the series because he recklessly charged into battles against the most powerful characters and expected to win.

7 Kechizu Is The Scariest-Looking Cursed Womb: Death Painting Sibling

Kechizu producing its toxic blood

While he's the weakest of the three, Kechizu is certainly the scariest-looking Cursed Womb: Death Painting sibling. Choso and Eso at least have a human-like appearance and interesting aesthetics, but Kechizu is just a grotesque monster.

Kechizu has bright turquoise skin, a considerable hunchback, and two agape mouths with misaligned teeth. Both mouths have a steady flow of blood coming out at all times, but the one on his torso is huge. Additionally, his eyes are pitch black sockets with blood oozing out of them.

6 Dagon Is A Cursed Spirit With An Octopus-Like Appearance

Dagon's in his fully realized form with red arms and black waist.

Before his evolution during the Shibuya Incident, Dagon looked like a fairly harmless blob-like cursed spirit. At that point, he was still a cursed womb. Dagon was essentially learning how to stand on his own two feet. However, his fully realized form is terrifying. His head looks like a fully grown octopus, and he takes on a humanoid body.

Dagon's powers make him even more of a threat. He overwhelmed some of the series' strongest sorcerers like Maki, Nanami, and Naobito, and even their combined might wasn't nearly enough to exorcise him.

5 Hanami Spawned From Humanity's Fear Of Natural Disasters

Cursed Spirit Hanami reveals himself in Jujutsu Kaisen

Standing at a hulking 7'2, Hanami is one of the strongest characters in the series so far. He's an unregistered special-grade curse who spawned from humanity's fear of natural disasters. He wants to eliminate humanity as retribution for its perpetual abuse of the planet.

Hanami's appearance is terrifying enough, but his jujutsu powers can overwhelm even the best sorcerers. His Disaster Plants technique allows him to create illusions of cursed plants and use them to distract or attack his opponent. Yuji and Todo's fight against him was one of the series' most unique fights because of the lengths they had to go to take him down.

4 Rika Proves That Love Is The Most Twisted Curse Of All

Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto in Jujutsu Kaisen.

While Sukuna is the King of Curses, Rika wears the crown of the Queen of Curses. She stole the show during Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Rika was Yuta's childhood friend who was killed in a car accident. She came back as a special-grade vengeful cursed spirit. She haunted Yuta, who attended Tokyo Jujutsu High, to finally eliminate this curse.

Rika certainly proves Gojo's theory that love of the most twisted curse of all. Her soul took on a terrifying appearance with a gaping mouth and razor-sharp teeth. As terrifying as she is, Rika became an important ally for Yuta after he unraveled the curse, and she continues to help him during battles.

3 Kurourushi's Mob Of Cockroaches Is Just Disgusting

Yuta fighting Kurourushi's cockroach swarm in Jujutsu Kaisen's manga.

Kurourushi certainly isn't the strongest villain in the series, but its appearance during the Culling Game was so disgusting that it's hard to forget. This cursed spirit looks like a walking cockroach and has the power to control a massive swarm of these insects.

Kurourushi's roaches kill their prey by eating them alive on his behalf. Kurourushi has an insatiable appetite and needs his cockroaches to collect his meals. His fight against Yuta made readers' skin crawl. His cursed techniques are gruesome and so dangerous that they should be forbidden.

2 Mahito Plays With His Victim's Psyches Before Brutally Killing Them

Mahito relaxing in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Mahito was one of the series' most dangerous characters before Kenjaku absorbed him at the end of the Shibuya Incident. The patchwork curse prided himself on manifesting because of humanity's hatred. He had a knack for playing with his victims' psyches before brutally killing them with his Idle Transfiguration technique.

Mahito also enjoyed experimenting on human beings with his cursed technique, manipulating their bodies to see how massive or tiny he could make someone. He talked about it nonchalantly and killed people with a happy-go-lucky grin.

1 No One Deserves To Be Called The King Of Curses More Than Sukuna

Sukuna smirking in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Anybody on the receiving end of Sukuna's wrath should make peace with their god and kiss life goodbye. Sukuna's name is enough to send chills down the spine of even the most revered cursed spirits. During the Golden Age of Jujutsu, Sukuna was a human sorcerer who others struggled to defeat. When he finally died, he became a cursed spirit. Other sorcerers scattered his fingers across the planet to stifle his power since his body couldn't be adequately destroyed.

Sukuna is immensely powerful and has mastered complex techniques like Reversed Curse Energy. His Dismantle and Cleave attacks are swift and fatal. He even has fire powers that can overwhelm Jogo's head volcano. It's also worth mentioning that Sukuna's Domain Expansion instantly wiped out a quarter mile of Shibuya.
