Fan Creations of Jujutsu Kaisen's Gojo

The realistic illustration of Gojo isn't the only impressive instance of fan-made Jujutsu Kaisen content that spotlights the comedic but deadly teacher. For example, a festive cosplay posted at the end of last year shows Gojo wearing a Christmas sweater and opening presents with none other than Suguru Geto. Moreover, another striking piece of fan art combines the worlds of Jujutsu Kaisen and Howl's Moving Castle and also spotlights the character's eyes.

Gojo features prominently in the merchandise for the wildly popular series as well. Notably, two expensive figurines of the character are available on Sideshow. One depicts the special-grade sorcerer as he appeared in the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and retails for an astounding $710, while the other sees him unleashing the powerful Kyoshiki Murasaki technique (also known as Hollow Technique: Purple) and sells for $400.

About Jujutsu Kaisen

Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga series debuted in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in March 2018, and the story has so far produced 21 volumes worth of content. The narrative follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who finds himself recruited by a group of Jujutsu Sorcerers after he eats one of the withered and cursed fingers of Ryomen Sukuna, the undisputed King of Curses. Akutami revealed at the end of last year that the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen would likely be published sometime this year.

With over 70 million copies in circulation around the world, Jujutsu Kaisen stands alongside Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers and Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia as one of the best-selling manga of all time. This high level of success has resulted in several adaptations across different mediums, including stage plays and video games. Most notably, studio MAPPA has created an anime series based on Akutami's story; the first season premiered in October 2020 and went on to win Anime of the Year, Best Antagonist and Best Ending Sequence at the 5th Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Season 2 has a planned debut during the summer 2023 anime season.

VIZ Media distributes Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga in North America, and the first season of MAPPA's anime adaptation is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
